Tia L. Manns recently graduated with a Bachelors in Biology with a concentration in Biochemistry from Georgia Gwinnett College. She spent a year conducting research on the affects beavers have on urban stream water systems by analyzing the nitrogen and ammonium levels in the water. She worked as a Research Technician at the Odum School of Ecology under Dr. Amy Rosemond at the University of Georgia. She wishes to pursue a career in field research and is interested in studying biogeochemistry for her Master’s degree. She joined the Center for Applied Isotopes in order to gain more work experience and take time off before pursuing a higher degree and making a career choice.
