Tom Maddox joined CAIS in 2015, and has more than 20 years of experience in stable isotope analysis for ecological applications. Mr. Maddox developed one of the country’s first continuous flow stable isotope facilities and grew the lab into a world class provider of analytical service, method development, and scientific consultation. He brings to CAIS over fifty individual analytical services to several hundred international and domestic clients. Mr. Maddox received his B.S. at Georgia College and State University and continued graduate course work at the University of Georgia before accepting the position of Director of The Odum School of Ecology’s Analytical Chemistry Laboratory. He has numerous publications in Ecology Letters and Journal of Field Ornithology along with hundreds of acknowledgements. A recipient of the former Institute of Ecology’s Purple Heart Award for Extraordinary Fidelity and Dedication, Mr. Maddox continues to enjoy mentoring and teaching students.
Away from the office, Tom enjoys woodworking and recently completed a dove-tailed drawer for a cabinet.
