Laveen Puthiya Veetil, Ph. D., Postdoctoral Research Associate at CAIS, joined in 2025. Dr. Laveen earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the Central University of Kerala in 2020, specializing in experimental Nuclear Physics, with a focus on heavy-ion-induced fusion studies conducted at the Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Research Associate at Cochin University of Science and Technology and later as an Assistant Professor at Krishna Menon Memorial Government Women’s College. In 2022, he joined Kannur University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. Expanding his research, he became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2024, contributing to the GlueX collaboration at Hall D of the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. With over a decade of expertise in accelerator-based research, he is currently working with the AMS group at CAIS.
