Dr Alexandra Heri joined CAIS in 2022 to oversee the multi-collector ICP-MS laboratory. She has experience in the application of various isotope systems in geochronology, geochemistry and hydrogeology. Originally from Switzerland, she completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Bern and later obtained her PhD from the University of Hong Kong working on rock formations in the Himalayas. Dr. Heri was postdoctoral fellow at the University of Houston, Texas prior to joining UGA. She was responsible for a class 100 cleanroom and thermal ionization mass spectrometer (TIMS).
