Matt Veres is a PhD candidate in the department of anthropology. His research uses zooarchaeology, ZooMS (Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry; proteomics), radiocarbon dating, and stable isotope analyses to investigate human-environmental interactions in the past.

At CAIS, he works in the radiocarbon lab preparing samples for radiocarbon dating and stable isotope analysis.
