Katie graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016, with a B.S. in Environmental Science. While at UVa, Katie had the opportunity to perform undergraduate research in the Environmental Science Department, assisting a graduate student in their research into carbon emissions from Indonesian soils. Shortly after graduating, Katie moved to Georgia and worked performing Phase I Environmental Assessments for 2.5 years at an Atlanta-based environmental firm. Katie joined the Center to get back into the lab and to gain more experience.
