Taesoo E. Jung

Taesoo graduated from the University of Georgia with a double major in Anthropology and Wildlife Sciences. She was employed at the university’s Archaeology Laboratory, the Georgia Museum of Natural History’s Zooarchaeology Laboratory, and CAIS. During that time, she gained experience in cultural material identification from sites within national parks, in faunal identification from prehistoric sites across the Southeast, in preparation of geochemical samples, and assisting in preparation of zooarchaeological reports. She has authored and presented a paper at the Southeastern Archaeological Conference. In addition, she published a co-authored article in a South Carolina archaeology magazine, co-authored several papers presented at professional conferences, and co-authored a zooarchaeological report. Working at as a temporary technical/paraprofessional for CAIS, her job required identification of faunal remains from two sites and preparation of oyster samples for geochemical analysis.
